Anniversary 75 celebration!
Saturday October 30th 2010
We are planning an evening of food, music and drama to celebrate our church's 75th anniversary! The following is an outline describing the nature of the drama to be performed:
.
A dramatic presentation will be performed by some of our own actors/actresses on Sat., Oct. 30th at 7:30 p.m. in the main sanctuary. It will highlight the calling, commissioning and founding of the Pentecostal church in Perth, Ont. by our founding pastor, Robert Burgess. The drama will depict life during depression times of the 1930’s. This new Pentecostal Message was embraced by many townsfolk at a time when life was difficult. It is a remarkable tale of the perseverance of a fledgling congregation, meeting in out-of-the-way halls, and finally constructing their own church only two years after the first gospel service was held. It is evident that the Lord’s blessing was outpoured, thus fulfilling their God-ordained purpose. This same congregation now celebrates their heritage some 75 years later in a beautiful new facility built in 2005. We have come a long way! "Hitherto has the Lord helped us…” You will want to be sure to attend this historical drama entitled "Glad Tidings” – admission is free!
There will be more details posted as we approach the date.
